Kierstin is the best and I'm not kidding when I say we could not possibly have had our wedding without her. I'll start by saying that in many ways I'm a wedding planner's worst nightmare: I'm a full-time grad-student and part-time nurse, so I had very little time or energy for wedding planning; I'm absolutely terrible at making decisions; and my partner and I were kind of on the fence about about even having a wedding in the first place (we came *thisclose* to eloping). We were nervous about picking a planner because we knew we weren't going to have a cookie cutter wedding and we needed someone who would "get" us. That person was Kierstin. When we first met her, she was clearly intrigued, rather than put off, by our desire to do things a little bit differently; moreover, she was funny, calm, and relaxed, and offered really thoughtful responses to our questions. I also appreciated that she takes on, at most, one wedding per month, which meant she actually had time for us and also that she has a sense of perspective: yes, weddings are awesome and important, but so is life outside them! Kierstin gave us exactly what we needed throughout the planning process. When we were dragging our feet on making decisions, she respectfully but firmly reminded us of our timeline. When I felt lonely and overwhelmed because I was planning without family (my mom passed away about four years ago and the rest of my family is scattered across the country), she was sensitive and reassuring. When I reached decision overload and told her I truly didn't care which wine glass we rented, she stepped in and picked one. When the seamstress the wedding dress boutique recommended told me my only option for undergarments with my dress would be taping my boobs, Kierstin fielded my panicked phone call, gently assured me that it would be fine, and recommended another seamstress, who was fabulous. (I wore a bustier and it was indeed just fine.) When I was losing my mind during midterms and told Kierstin I needed a one-week break from the wedding, she said "no problem" and gave it to me. In other words, she can not only handle anything, but she can handle it with grace, kindness, and a gentle sense of humor. She can also connect you to incredible vendors, roll with unusual requests (llamas at the reception? sure! ofrenda for family members who died? yes, of course!) , and, perhaps most importantly, remain calm, organized, and grounded even when you feel like everything is crazy, which is how I felt for most of the time I was planning the wedding. As for our wedding itself, it was just... perfect. I'm sure something must have gone wrong somewhere along the way, but I have no idea what it was; we basically just showed up and the day unfolded around us. I don't think it could possibly have gone more smoothly. We both feel incredibly lucky to have had Kierstin helping us have the best day of our lives. She is so, so special and, yes, lovely. I found Lovely Day events after doing research online. We were planning an Austin-area wedding long distance from Brooklyn, New York. I interviewed a few planners, but Kierstin stood out of the pack. She has a very sweet and kind nature. She asked my personal questions about my partner and myself, and shared very openly that she has experience working within a range of budgets. Although we were cost-minded, aesthetics and style were important to us, and I knew immediately that Kierstin would understand our vision and wish to create a special wedding. Kierstin is great to work with. She was communicative and responsive over email and organized very regular check-ins for us to meet and get things done! She worked with a fabulous wedding planning tool that helped keep us on track and had helpful checklists. All of our planning lived inside this portal, and as a person who works in digital and loves apps and tools and organization this made me very happy. Kierstin suggested vendors that were in line with our vision and coordinated a next day pickup for our rentals, and an early pickup for our alcohol order, both of which made our lives easier. Kierstin also scheduled in person meetings with us while we were visiting from out of town, where we met with many vendors and this made us feel great about our final decisions and got us pumped for our wedding! The day of process was smooth as can be. Kierstin and her assistant Carissa executed the day flawlessly. They stuck to a pre-planned timeline that was very thoughtful- there was plenty of time to get ready, enjoy the day, and find those quiet moments to reflect before the ceremony! We had an outdoor ceremony on a day that threatened rain, but Kierstin brought a radar and tracked the weather by the moment! We were able to have our ceremony outside because she watched and made a smart call for us. My family and friends could not stop talking about how sweet Kierstin is. We are very lucky that we found her. She really went above and beyond by sending us a video of my grandparents having their special dance (we didn't hire a videographer and this is a special moment I'm glad to have on tape) and finding and returning a special bracelet that my stepmother lost at the venue. Kiersten helped with rental and placement of the appropriate furniture to create the right ambiance, while still respecting our budget. My wedding in Dripping Springs, TX was incredible due to the vision, hard work and enthusiasm of Kierstin from Lovely Day Events Austin. She worked tirelessly from the moment I started planning to the wedding carriage (-finish time, I'm from the UK originally!) on the wedding day with personal attention to detail and attention on the couple throughout the big day . She is a good listener and wanted me to have my wedding in the exact style and way I envisioned it, which was a contemporary American wedding. She not only helped me to organize my guest list, menu choices, dress, hair and make-up appointments, family travel, family brunch and family accommodation, but liaised effortlessly with phone calls and e-mails to all my vendors including my caterer (I changed the menu many times) the florist, wedding invitation printer, photographer, officiant, my wedding venue. What I found most helpful was that she was very goal oriented and made a very clear outline of all the planning activities. She helped me to structure my budget, keep on track with the budget and helped me to follow through with all my planning activities before the big day itself. Without her help I would have fallen behind with the planning schedule and overspent on the event. She successfully eliminated any excess expenses from the budget which really helped me out. On the day itself she organized the florist, caterer, family, groomsman, bridesmaids and friends. She set arranged inexpensive and elegant decorations and set up a beautiful welcome area with signs and a registry. Before the day she accompanied me to tastings and vendor meetings and I felt confident in her ability to communicate with vendors clearly and to my specifications and budget. I felt extremely relaxed on the day and put my trust in her skills and organization and there wasn't one hitch in the whole event. My guests and my family had a great time. Kierstin can think very quickly on her feet and is able to problem solve on the spot. She is a valuable person if you want your wedding to be a success! Thank you Kierstin!

A godsend! Kierstin came into our wedding planning process about 6 months before the wedding. We hired her to help us create and execute a cohesive theme and to coordinate our wedding. Let me also stress how she was a jack-of-all trades on this day-- this was our (my parents and I) and Kiersten filled in on so many fronts. She decorated our altar beautifully with flowers that I had ( I was ready to just leave it plain so this was an awesome surprise). She directed and planned for our venue "flip". She dealt with a lot of last minute changes flawlessly-- like me saying an hour before the wedding that my dog was going to be flower girl. She also helped me with my makeup when I was not feeling very great about it. She helped me de-static my dress mid-dinner...and so much more! I highly recommend Kiersten to anyone shopping for a coordinator. She was sweet, fun, and highly professional. You can't go wrong! Thank you, Kiersten.

Lovely Day Events was truly incredible. Kierstin worked with us tirelessly from day one. When we first started planning (before we met Kierstin) we had our budget, and our dream wedding, and there was a BIG gap between the two. When we hired Kierstin, that gap got smaller and smaller, until we found ourselves booked with our first choice venue, the church we wanted, gorgeous flowers and settings all for the budget we set out . We had a lot of family help to close that gap (mom did flowers, etc) that got us to the budget and it was all organized by Kierstin. We even were surprised by the details she arranged, like sending all our gifts up to the room, organizing the toast sequence, shuttling flowers from the ceremony to the reception, and keeping all our vendors organized. Kierstin did the "day of" coordination for our September 2016 wedding. She was a critical part of our special day, helping to make sure we could focus on taking it all in and not focus on logistics. Everything was set up exactly as we envisioned it and she even helped solve some last minute design and logistics challenges for things that we just hadn't been able to figure out. She was great to bounce ideas off of too! I appreciated Kierstin's organization and diligence throughout the process; she had a great google doc spreadsheet to help us stay on track and communicate in real time, she took great notes during our meetings and was always prompt on follow up. Thanks to her, I didn't have to worry about our vendors once the contracts were signed. She made sure everything was delivered on as promised and took initiative in problem solving anything that came up. My now husband, initially skeptical, was totally in agreement after the wedding that it would not have been the same without her.
