MY NAME IS KIERSTIN
A BFA in Theatre Directing, years of experience managing a film festival and a passion for entertaining have each inspired me to create the Austin based company, Lovely Day Events Austin.
My career began in Austin working at an event planning company. I've since lived in New York City, Los Angeles and New Mexico, working in the arts industry and running the White Sands Film Festival for four years.
My background in fine arts has given me a unique approach to event planning. Not only do I have years of experience producing events, I can take your wishes and desires for your day and create just the right mood and atmosphere that will give you and your guests a magical and unforgettable experience.
I came up with the name Lovely Day Events for a few reasons. My husband used to live above “Lovely Day” in NYC, a restaurant on Elizabeth Street. We ate many meals there while dating, so it brings back special memories. The name Lovely Day sounded breezy, elegant and exactly what I want my clients to have, the Loveliest of Days!
I absolutely love my job and am so blessed to have worked with the most amazing couples and vendors in the Austin community.I am always honored to be part of someone’s important day and can’t imagine doing anything else!
Founder and Lead Planner
Corey grew up in La Porte, Texas, and was surrounded by theatre, and a loving supportive family. Corey graduated as a Texas State University Alumni, with a BFA in Technical Production with an emphasis in Stage Management.
Corey gained interest in working events during her experience running camps, award shows, and working on a cruise ship. She loves to coordinate chaos and ensure thorough organization in every project she is a part of. Her favorite part of an event is ensuring that the client can relax and enjoy their event stress-free!
Corey’s hero is her little sister Taylor, who is special needs and inspires her to be her best each and every day. When not hard at work, Corey enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching The Office (for the hundredth time), and spending time with her pup Ollie."
Stephanie was born in San Antonio, Texas, but grew up traveling around the world with her military family.
A University of Texas at Austin Alumni (hook ‘em!), Stephanie graduated with a BA in Human Dimensions of Organizations and a minor in Business.
Stephanie's love of event planning began during her time at UT, while serving on the executive board for both her spirit group and Texas Belles Event Planning Organization. Stephanie has since worked in event planning for several years and decided she never wants to do anything else! Her favorite part of an event is seeing the client’s vision come to life before their eyes.
Stephanie is not only exceptionally organized when planning events, but also in her everyday life. She couldn’t survive without her daily planner, google calendar, and to-do list! When she’s not planning, she loves to go hiking with her friends, binge-watch Greys Anatomy (for the millionth time), and practice the art of calligraphy!
